Critical Analysis Essay: Utilizing knowledge acquired from course
readings, discussions and learning team activities, each student will write
an 8- to 10-page essay addressing a specific issue found in the modern
global workplace. This paper is due in Week Four. The topic of the paper
must address an ethical problem in the Employer-employee relations.
This essay must contain a clear thesis statement (not an abstract).
This essay will identify an ethical problem/case in the selected subject
area; discuss how the ethical issue inherent in that problem/case might be
addressed from the perspective of an emphasis upon actions
(deontological ethics), agents (virtue ethics) and ends (teleological ethics);
and declare which approach has the superior position and why. The ability
to describe an approach to the problem/case from each of these
perspectives will demonstrate each student’s knowledge of the competing
approaches and contribute to proficiency in determining which approach is
most compatible with the student’s basic beliefs and controlling values.
The essay will conform to APA format requirements, which include a title
page, double-spacing, 12-point Times Roman fonts, one-inch margins, a
reference page and proper in-text citations of source material.
