Role of an advisor to an international Institution

Order Description

You will take on the role of an advisor to an international institution and make a recommendation as to how the institution can address a particular policy quandary. Drawing from real international political scenarios, as well as the theories and evidence learned throughout the course, you will (1) analyze a situation, (2) present the institution’s potential options, and (3) make a recommendation as to the ideal path for the institution to take to address the situation. Your grade will be based on the following components:

Analysis of the situation (20%)
Discussion of the institution s potential options (35%)
Recommendation as to the ideal path for the institution to take in addressing the situation (35%)
Style/Citations APSA style (10%)
Examples of what you may consider writing on(but aren’t required to write on):
Peace and justice issues in International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants in Uganda, or humanitarian and justice issues in the ICC arrest warrant for president of Sudan.
Compliance with the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees or 1967 Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees by the United States or European countries given the Syrian refugee crisis.
Compliance with Genocide Convention related to situation in Darfur.
UN Security Council failures to act in Syria or Ukraine.
State of EU migrants in the UK following Brexit vote.
Chinese currency manipulation as an unfair trading practice in the WTO.
Impact of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) on environmental, health, and labor standards.
