Item 2: The Memo (Due 9/27/17)
Now, I want you to imagine that you work in publicity for one of the companies that has produced a truly terrible advertisement. This is a PR disaster, and you need to write an internal memo to your team, your supervisor, and the company CEO. You may choose any one of the four sample advertisements (links below).
In this memo, you will discuss what happened, and come up with a strategic plan to fix the damage that has been caused by the advertisement. Make sure you come up with concrete steps that your company can implement. Remember to follow the seven guidelines for writing short reports (pg. 302). Pay particular attention to the four key components of a well-organized memo: Purpose, Findings, Conclusion, and Recommendations. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email me.
